HEINIGER – a family affair

Already in its third generation, the name "Heiniger" stands for high-quality animal shearing products "Made in Switzerland". What began in 1946 as a trading company for fruit and vegetables became a globally active quality manufacturer under the management of my great-uncle Hermann Heiniger and my father Werner Heiniger, the only supplier in the world to specialise in animal shearing.

For professional shearers, only the highest quality counts. The customer proximity of the Australian, English and New Zealand subsidiaries, combined with the engineering knowledge and precision manufacturing of the Swiss manufacturing company, led to Heiniger being the proud world market leader in professional sheep shearing today.

Heiniger is a family business - and not just at management level. Our loyal and long-standing employees are part of the family. They accumulate animal shearing knowledge over decades and pass it on to younger "family members". The loyalty and commitment of the employees as well as the specialisation in the animal shearing niche are the success factors behind Heiniger.
High-quality animal shearing products "Made in Switzerland" make our customers' daily work on animals easier. This is what we will continue to stand for with our family name.

Our vision

We are an internationally active Swiss family business with a strong focus on innovation and quality at fair prices in all our markets. We strive to remain the leader in the animal grooming market and to become a leading brand in the hairdressing sector. This will enable us to maintain and increase our profitability.

Our mission

Customers

With our high-quality products and professional service, we offer our customers the ideal solution for clipping hair, fur and wool at a fair price-performance ratio. Our innovative equipment makes their work much easier.

Employees

We offer committed employees an appreciative environment and good professional development opportunities in a healthy company. By doing so, we create framework conditions that enable actively involved employees to be part of the success.

Suppliers / Partners

We are a fair and reliable partner for our suppliers. We intensively involve our suppliers in the development processes and offer them the opportunity to develop with us. In return, we expect the same fairness and reliability as well as a high degree of pro-activity and initiative.

Shareholders

As a cross-generational and independent family business, we want to operate both profitably and healthily in the long term. We want to be able to grow, but not have to.

Environment / Society

We are a Swiss family company with regional roots and we have kept our production site in Switzerland since our founding in 1946.

Quality swiss made

Since 1965, our animal shearing and clipping equipment has set the standard for quality, precision and reliability. Our products are developed and manufactured in Herzogenbuchsee, in the heart of Switzerland. No matter which country you are in across the globe, or which animals you have - be it sheep, cattle, camelids, horses, goats or small animal pets - hundreds of thousands of animals are shorn, clipped and groomed with Heiniger “Made in Switzerland” products daily.
